Effective September 17, 2026
Nana’s Place is a children’s series filmed at R&R Ranch Miniature Horse Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Wildwood, Missouri. This policy explains what information we collect through watchnanasplace.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. When we say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Nana’s Place and R&R Ranch.
The short version
- We collect what you choose to give us, such as your name and email when you write to us or join our newsletter, and some basic information about how the site is used.
- We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to understand how people find us and to tell more families about the show.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We keep it confidential and share it only with the services that help us run the site, as described below.
- You can unsubscribe, opt out or ask us to delete your information at any time.
Information you give us
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message, plus your phone number and postal address if you choose to provide them.
- Newsletter. Your email address, and your name if you give it, when you sign up for our emails.
- Text messages. Your mobile number, if we offer text updates and you sign up for them.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies. They record things such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the website or ad that brought you here, your browser and device type, your IP address, and your approximate location (city or region, not your precise location).
How we use your information
- To answer your messages and questions.
- To send the newsletters and text messages you have asked for.
- To understand which episodes and pages families find helpful, and to improve the site.
- To reach more families through advertising, and to measure whether that advertising works.
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site. It collects the automatic information described above and reports it to us in aggregate. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) help us show ads about Nana’s Place, including to people who have visited our site before, and tell us whether someone who saw an ad later visited or signed up. These companies may use cookies, pixels and similar tools to do this, and they handle that information under their own privacy policies.
You can limit this kind of advertising:
- Google: Ad settings and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Meta: Ad preferences.
- Many advertising companies at once: the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
- Your browser settings, which can block or delete cookies. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Videos
Episodes play through YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set YouTube cookies until you press play. Once a video plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Newsletters
We send newsletters only to people who have asked for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by emailing us. We may see whether an email was opened or a link in it was clicked, so we can tell which stories families enjoy.
Text messages
If we offer text updates, we will send them only to numbers whose owners have agreed to receive them. Signing up is never required to watch the show, donate or buy anything. How often we text will vary, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help.
We will not share your mobile number or text-message consent with anyone else for their own marketing. We share it only with the service that sends our messages.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we treat it as confidential. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run Nana’s Place, such as our website host, email and text message services, and the analytics and advertising services named above. They may use it only to provide those services.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our visitors, our animals or the Ranch.
- With your permission.
Children’s privacy
Nana’s Place is made for children to watch with the grown-ups who care for them. Our contact form, newsletter and text messages are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.
Donations and our shop
Donations and purchases are handled on separate websites run by R&R Ranch and its payment and store providers. We do not collect payment card details on this site. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. For example, we keep newsletter subscribers until they unsubscribe, and messages for as long as it takes to help you and keep a sensible record.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we limit who can see it. No website or online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from emails with the link in any of them, and stop text messages by replying STOP. Just email us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and the R&R Ranch shop. We are not responsible for how those sites handle information, so please read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site or let subscribers know.
